A new trawler design from Rolls Royce
Rolls Royce is about to design a new 70m long trawler for Olympic Seafood with extensive range of equipment.
The new and modern vessel for Norway-based Olympic Seafood is designed for bottom trawling as well as pelagic trawling. The vessel will be able to freeze both white fish and shrimp and to ensure a high quality catch.
Monrad Hide, Rolls-Royce, vice president of sales, said: “We’ve designed a highly efficient trawler that will be equipped with a package of power and propulsion, electrical and automation systems that will deliver benefits to both the owner and the environment, as well as safety and good working conditions for the crew.”
Rolls-Royce equipment will include the B33:45 diesel engine. A hybrid propulsion system can deliver both a mechanical and diesel-electric drive for the Promas integrated rudder and propeller system.
Delivery date of the vessel is 2020 by Cemre shipyard in Turkey.
According to shipowner’s words, the vessel is smarter, greener and safer.
