Domvessel’s launches two road ferries for Greek operator ABT Ferry

In just a couple of weeks, two, 67-meter road ferries for the Greek ferry operator ABT Ferry have been launched at Dom shipyard  and are now being fitted out ahead of entering service next year.

Once operational they will be capable of carrying up to 237 passengers and crew, and 34 vehicles.

The ferries have been built to Dom’s Road Ferry 54AE45 design and the order was secured following an extensive, multi-phased, international tender process. ABT Ferry is currently undertaking a fleet renewal program that will see a number of new vessels operating in the province of Athenian on Greece’s Aegean coastline. The twin Dom Road Ferry 54AE45 will serve the Greece Islands off the coast of Greece, replacing vessels that are now over fifty years old.
